This today we were to have launched our 2nd unmanned HAB, the 1st launch was in May 2017, but due to a payload equipment failure we had to delay the launch one week. But a concern has come up regarding FAA coordination. Last year the FAA coordination went pretty smooth and the FAA took all our information and initiated a NOTAM. This year the FAA seemed hardly concerned about our proposed launch and did not request that we provide any progress flight details. Has something changed within the FAA where unmanned balloon launches are no longer tracked? I'm mean last year they wanted to know when we launched and even brought approach control on the phone to verify they saw our radar reflect. Today when we called to notify them the flight was cancelled no one was even answering the phone.
