Good news everyone!
We have had a successful flight last Saturday with the ReHAB-T-2 mission which carried a video camera, our experimental multispectral camera and LEGO Gagarin.
The launch and preparation was smooth thanks to the updated process checklist we used. For the launch event about 150-200 people gathered to watch the balloon start as part of Budapest Space Week. Most of the audience were attending at Kids University, an event of Budapest University of Technology and Economics. We are proud that we could show young kids how studying STEM fields can be fun.
Here is a timelapse video of the balloon inflation and preparation:
And some pictures of the launch:
We have had a slow ascent, a bit slower than we expected prior the flight. The balloon had a five hour flight and went around Budapest so our Recovery Team only had to take a short trip to gather the balloon.
The ballon was recovered by the Backup GPS Tracker due to signal loss with the live radio module.
We are currently processing the on-board data of the flight. Currently it looks like the LOS happenned due to battery discharge. Our next step is to upgrade our EPS to provide sufficient power for both the platform and the payload in future flights.
As we finished the data processing we will publish the images and videos taken during this and our previous flight (ReHAB-T-1 23.03.2019)
